Marilyn Monroe’s iconic ‘subway’ dress worn in ‘The Seven Year Itch’, has just been sold at an auction for $5.6 million.
Debbie Reynolds had been collecting Movie costumes for a number of years before she decided to hold the auction. “I’m thrilled beyond words. The first auction shows that our great stars were loved by the world,” she said.
If you’re disappointed you couldn’t place a bid don’t fret! A second auction will be held in December, so start saving.
Ironically, at the time of her death Marilyn Monroe had $2,000 in her bank account.
